Biography

Irene Stavrou joined Convex Insurance in 2025.  As a former solicitor specialising in Reinsurance litigation, Irene developed a deep expertise in managing complex legal issues in both Reinsurance and Insurance.
Before joining Convex, Irene spent two years working in the group insurance team of a Swiss bank, where she gained valuable international experience. Over the past twenty years, she has held significant roles managing the Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers, Financial Lines, Cyber, Casualty, and UK Property books, showcasing her versatile and comprehensive understanding of various insurance lines.
Irene’s exceptional contributions to the field have been recognised with several prestigious awards. She was honoured as the Claims Professional of the Year at the Women in Insurance Awards 2022 and was named an Elite Female Leader in the 2023 Insurance Business UK awards.
