Before joining Convex, I enjoyed an 18-year career in professional liability including a stint in private practice as a litigation lawyer, followed by inhouse claims and more recently underwriting law firm business and then leading the London Market design risk business at a leading global specialty insurer.

I joined Convex because the team here presented me with a unique opportunity to build a business from the ground up, with a global outlook, and at an opportune moment to bring unencumbered capital to the market. Convex’s values and mission resonated with me immediately; take a fair and transparent approach, be direct with clients, have honest conversations and take risk.

I love our segment of the specialty insurance business because we are privileged to work with the professionals who help shape the future. Our clients operate in a constantly evolving risk landscape and I enjoy the challenge of understanding the complexities they face, and then mapping those risks to sustainable insurance solutions.

Who we work with

I am delighted to be surrounded by curious people with lots of energy to build a next generation insurer. We are collectively keen to educate ourselves as to what opportunities there are in the market, and we have the drive and balance sheet to support them.

We are empowered underwriters and can make fast and efficient decisions. We have a clean slate, lots of experience and a toolkit which grows daily to allows us to execute our plans well and with growing momentum. It’s an exciting place to be.

Who we do business with

We work with construction companies, architects, and engineering firms with design risk exposures and with a broad range of professional service companies, including large risk law firms, management consultants, accountants, and property companies. We have a strong appetite for delegated authority and SME business.

Regardless of size, we want to work with clients and brokers who share our desire for building strong, long-lasting relationships. We want to work with people who understand that curiosity, open conversations and mutual desire to succeed are the foundation of strong partnerships. We understand that it will take time to build a business on those principles and we are excited to rise to that challenge.
