I’ve worked within the life, accident and health insurance and reinsurance markets for 34 years, including time at Lloyd’s, company markets and running my own multi-national underwriting agency for many years.

Who we do business with

We’re looking to work with clients who are seeking new, alternative approaches to Accident and Health and can demonstrate that they share our passion for a tech-focused approach – whether that’s through their product application and client interface, operational platform or analytics.

We aim to make Convex’s insurance and reinsurance solutions attractive to multinational groups and clients that require specialty products, along with niche areas like ex-pats and students. In reinsurance, it’s clients that want to introduce innovative solutions where insurers have traditionally been slow to respond, such as disease-specific coverages. But whatever kind of brokers and clients we work with, they’ll receive an exceptional level of service.

How we work

Without doubt, the chance to work with such high-quality, market leading talent throughout the company, that have such excellent reputations, was extremely appealing but, for me, the biggest draw was joining a company that puts technology and real-time data front and centre. This allows us to take a different approach to underwriting, managing risk and developing products: one that’s more accurate, innovative and responsive.

We’re building a team of like-minded specialists, whose expertise, along with Convex’s resources and our approach to the application of technology and data, will allow us to rebuild our pricing tools and analytics from the ground up – so we can price risk more accurately and quickly develop better products and solutions that suit our clients’ specific, complex specialty needs.
