The COVID-19 crisis has had a devastating impact on the contingency market, forcing market conditions to change rapidly while our target clients across all areas of the sports leisure and entertainment industries are trying to rebuild their business. We recognise that now more than ever we need to use our expertise and creativity to work with brokers and clients, to provide the right cover, at the right price.
We cater for clients in all sub-classes of contingency. Event cancellation is our biggest area – from conferences and trade shows to theatre and sporting events. We also cover non-appearance, prize indemnity and film and advertising production.
We have strong relationships with brokers, and work closely with them to design bespoke services that fit our clients’ needs. Whoever we’re working with, we aim to build long-term relationships, and continually strive to improve the quality of the products and service we offer.
We stand out in a crowded market for having an experienced team that’s dedicated to the class. Currently, we have over 30 years of combined experience and we plan to add to it soon.
This experience and expertise gives us the creativity and confidence to consider a broad range of risk in all aspects of the class. We can now also offer Event Liability cover, making us a one-stop-shop for event organisers who need PL and EL alongside Cancellation insurance.
The nature of our work also brings us into contact with clients who need terrorism and political violence cover. Sitting within a wider crisis management means we have that expertise on tap, along with access to an in-house risk security expert to help us understand the wider context of that risk. On top of that, we benefit from Convex’s data-driven approach, which allows us to develop own view on a risk – not just follow the market.
